There is an old friend of mine who was in money about twenty years back and was based abroad.
He visited the country for vacation and a beautiful young female marketer approached him. She asked him to invest in property along the present Lekki phase 1. This friend of mine is a spend-drift and was not ready to invest in properties especially in that area because it was water logged and attractive.
However, he was attracted by her beauty. In order to woo her and get her attention, he bought a plot of land worth three million naira then. After which he bought a BMW for One million Five Hundred Thousand naira and travelled down to Benin and squandered more money partying and have a time of his life. After which, he traveled back abroad.
Some years later, he ran into a problem and needed some money urgently. He remembered the land he bought from the beautiful realtor years back and contacted her to show him his property. The lady took him to his property and informed him that the value of property around the axis has appreciated significantly. His one plot of land is now worth Eighty Million Naira.
He was amazed and called me. He said “How I wish I bought two plots or more when I had the money and it was selling for three million Naira a plot.” He regretted buying that car because after two years, he resold the car for one million five hundred thousand naira and the buyer only paid five hundred thousand naira till date he is yet to complete payment.
On a good note, he got Seventy-Seven Million Naira as return on investment on a property he bought for three million Naira.

He groomed his Executive Managerial skills with over 10 years in the Nigerian Bottling Company (Coca-Cola) where he occupied several position and won special awards and recognition before diversifying into Real Estate and property Development. He obtained his first degree from the university of Benin where he obtained BSC in Business Administration.
